Graduate Courses at the University of Athens Observatory
The University of Athens Observatory plays an important role on the graduate course program at the Faculty of Physics. The 0.4-m telescope of the University of Athens Observatory has revolutionized the astronomical education offered at the University of Athens at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Modern observational and data reduction techniques are possible with the use of the telescope's modern instrumentation.
Several graduate courses include at least partially the facilities at UOAO within their graduate educational program. These are:
- Observational Astrophysics (PHYS160)
- Applied Optics (PHYS161)
- General Astronomy I (Department of Mathematics) (MATH562)
